The founder of Chosen With Care, Debbie has more than 12 years’ experience in the care home sector. It is Debbie’s passion that has made Chosen With Care a recognised leader in the field, both in terms of championing the needs and expectations of our clients and in working with care homes to help them deliver the service and standards that we believe all elderly people should enjoy.
Debbie first became interested in helping families get the information they need to make the right decisions about care when she had to find a care home for her own aunt. Realising there was a complete lack of reliable, objective information, Debbie set up a national website offering independent reviews of care homes. After selling this business, Debbie responded to requests from individuals and their relatives to steer them through the minefield of choosing care homes. The number of calls she received through word-of-mouth recommendations made her realise she was meeting an urgent – and growing – need, and so Chosen With Care was born.
Debbie has handpicked the rest of the team to make sure they share her commitment to helping the elderly live their lives to the full and adhere to her strict standards to ensure we provide the very best service for all our clients.

Referral Fees - not for Chosen with Care
The Sunday Times newspaper has today exposed the referral scandal where agents receive huge commissions for referring clients suffering from addictions to companies who want access to those clients. Making this practice public is long overdue. Unfortunately is also prevalent in the care industry.
Chosen with Care does not take referral fees from any of the companies that it recommends. ...
My wife Doreen is disabled and has Alzheimer's. If that were not enough, she recently fell and broke her arm! At that moment my life changed, as I was no longer able to continue caring for her.
A friend suggested that I talk to Debbie. We arranged a meeting at which she advised that I should have a plan for the future; we first agreed that the plan should be to get Doreen back home. Debbie recommend that I get Doreen out of hospital as soon as possible and into a care home for respite, advising me what to look for when selecting the home (vital). We further went into any requirements our own home might need to enable Doreen's safe return. Once home, Home Care will be needed, and Debbie again had all the contacts to provide this to meet my needs.
I will not go into other offerings on her menu - needless to say she has all the answers and was able to lift the burden from my shoulders at a very stressful time. A very big thank you Debbie as our plan is beginning to take shape.
